Material donations: The Grinnell Library accepts gifts of books, DVDs, audio books, board games, and compact discs in slightly used condition. No mold, no water damage, no food stains, no excessive wear-and-tear, and no materials falling apart. Non-fiction materials should be published within the last 10 years.
The library does not accept textbooks, Reader’s Digest Condensed books, encyclopedias, or magazines.
For materials that we don’t take, or if your materials are too old or damaged, consider recycling them through your local waste disposal company or through an event with the DCRRA.
All donations become the property of the Library to add to the collection or to include in our book sale.
Teen volunteers make our library programs even better – so thank you for your consideration in volunteering at Grinnell!
